ARE YOU A YOUNG AND TALENTED GLYCOSCIENTIST? Apply for the Alberta Glycomics Centre Young Investigator Award in Glycosciences and present your work in Banff, Canada!

Banff, AlbertaThe Alberta Glycomics Centre welcomes applications for the Alberta Glycomics Centre Young Investigator Award in Glycosciences. This award is intended to encourage carbohydrate research by young investigators around the world. The recipient of this award will be invited to present, together with top carbohydrate scientists, at the 8th National Carbohydrate Symposium that will be held in May 9-11th 2012 in Banff, Alberta, Canada, one of the world’s most beautiful settings. The award covers your registration, your accommodation and meals in Banff, as well as economy air fare and other travel expenses up to $1500.00 CAD to attend and present at the symposium. 

To be eligible to compete for this award you must be a full-time student or post-doctoral researcher at any University in the world, working on a project focused on any aspect of glycobiology and/or carbohydrate chemistry. To apply to this award, an abstract and a letter of support from the candidate’s supervisor should be sent to Angie Fraser before February 28, 2012.
